Karanjia -: A half-burnt body is lying at the weekly market in Kendujiani, Mayurbhanj district. It is suspected that someone brutally murdered and burned it. Thakurmunda police reached the spot and started investigation. A weekly market was held at Kendujiani, Thakurmunda police station, Mayurbhanj district yesterday. At that time, when there was a crowd in the market, they found a half-burnt body.
The locals could not identify the deceased as someone had burnt him with paddy straw. Then in the morning, Shiva Mahanat of Jadbil village came to the spot and identified the body and said that it was his younger brother Bhadru Mahanat. Then, on receiving information, Additional Superintendent of Police Shri Narayan Naik, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shri Subrata Kumar investigated the incident, while a scientific team from the headquarters Baripada reached for a detailed investigation and conducted further investigation.
It is learnt that after the examination of the scientific team, the body will be sent for autopsy. It is also learnt that the Thakurmunda police station officer has informed the two daughters of the deceased Bhadru. A search operation was conducted in the locality regarding the said incident and all the details will be revealed after the investigation.
