Mohali : TDISCRWA with an objective to build a community of nature lovers and to revive our planet with greenery organized Second Tree Plantation Drive in Park No 10A, TDI, 117 Mohali and its surroundings and planted more than 60 plants of various varieties including Chakrasiya,Gulmohar,Cassia,Galukha,Calendra, Tekoma,Murriya,Kener, Jackranda Neem,Amla and Jamun.
Treelovers and their families brought and planted trees of their choice.They pledged to protect trees by way of watering regularly and nourishing them with fertilizers from time to time.
Sardar Tejinder Singh Dhillon and his family took the lead and encouraged others including Mr Prince Jain for plating trees and to save their future generations. Other prominent residents who participated in the Drive were Mr Pawan Goel,Chairman,TDI Residents Rights Protection and Welfar Society,Sardar Sukhjinder Singh,President Sunny Beasant Residents Welfare Association and Shri Sanjeev Soni President TDISCRWA.
Sardar Sukhjinder Singh President Sunny Beasant RWA said Every child should be encouraged to plant a tree on birds which will help their breathe in future.
Mr Anil Kumar Parashar Senior Vice President TDISCRWA on this auspicious occasion said “A society grows great when oldmen plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”
