What did Tharoor say about the US President

This is a question which your party is also raising continuously. On this, Shashi Tharoor said that we have great respect for the US President. We can only say for ourselves that we have never asked anyone to mediate.
Talk if they take serious steps

What did Rahul Gandhi say?
Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi alleged during Congress’ ‘Sangthan Srujan Abhiyan’ that during the India-Pakistan military conflict, Prime Minister Narendra Modi surrendered on the phone of US President Donald Trump. He said that in the 1971 war, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi did not bow down, even though America had sent its seventh fleet. “One call from Trump and Narendra (Modi) ji immediately surrendered – history is witness. This is the character of BJP-RSS, they always bow down,” he said in a post on X after launching the party’s ‘Sangthan Srujan Abhiyan’ in the presence of Congress leaders and workers here. “India broke Pakistan in 1971 despite threats from the US. Congress’s Babbar Sher and Shernis fight ‘superpowers’, never bow down,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi said he knows the BJP-RSS people well. “If you put even a little pressure and give them (BJP-RSS) a little push, they run away in fear,” he said. He said there was no call during the 1971 war, even though the seventh fleet, weapons and an aircraft carrier arrived, Indira Gandhi did not surrender and said she would do what she wanted. The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said, “Gandhi (Mahatma), Nehru (Jawaharlal) and Patel (Vallabhbhai) never surrendered, they fought against superpowers.” Referring to the BJP and the RSS, Rahul said that since Independence they have been in the habit of writing ‘surrender letters’. He said, “This is the difference. This is their character. They are like this.
BJP accuses Congress of insulting the armed forces
The BJP on Wednesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of insulting the armed forces by making a ‘surrender’ remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it is tantamount to underestimating the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Congress leader has surpassed even the Pakistani Army Chief, its Prime Minister and its terrorist leaders in speaking in support of the neighbouring country. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s sarcasm reflects a “sick and dangerous mindset”. Citing historical events that took place during the Congress regime, including the partition of India, “occupation of Indian territory by China and Pakistan”, he said that history is full of such “surrender” of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He praised Prime Minister Modi and called him “Mrigendra (lion) of Mother India”. Trivedi said, “Rahul Gandhi and Congress may have a history of surrender, but India will never surrender to anyone.”
