Bhubaneswar: BJP named senior leader Mamata Mohanta as its Rajya Sabha nominee from Odisha.
Mohanta recently resigned from the Rajya Sabha and the Biju Janata Dal to join the BJP. Her tenure will end in April 2026.
Mamta Mohanta is a prominent leader from the Kudmi Adivasi community, Mohanta has previously served as a Rajya Sabha member from BJD and has been a vocal advocate for the rights of the Kudmi community.
